Overview:

I have very fair skin which makes me look pale, so I went looking for a product that would help my skin get a natural glow. I had heard a lot about Youth to the People, but I hadn’t really tried any of their products. Youth to the People was founded in 2015 with people and the planet in mind. I came across the Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask in Sephora and saw it had good reviews and it was also hydrating, it’s a win-win. I decided to buy the sample size directly from the brand’s website.

First impressions:

-I love the smell, like a mango Laffy Taffy.

-Youth to the People is a brand that only uses glass bottles and jars which can be recycled many times.

-It felt really good on my skin.

-This is a leave-on mask, which means you should sleep the whole night with the mask on.

-At first, it feels like a nice moisturizer, but it takes a lot of time to absorb, this is where it got weird. I normally sleep on my side, as my face touched my pillow it felt kind of sticky. This was not ideal, but I just fell asleep and forgot about it.

Overtime:

-The sticky feeling I just mentioned didn't stop me from using this mask many more times.

-I’ve been using this mask just after I cleanse my face, but I am sure it can be used after applying a serum. I am just not such a big fan of layering.

-I have been using this mask every other night for two weeks and have seen changes.

-Every morning, after I apply the mask the night before, I can see my face look brighter, but I don't feel it’s a very noticeable change.

-The hydrating part of the mask has been the best part, it makes my skin feel hydrated without any oiliness and it feels super smooth.

-The sample size jar is the perfect size to try the product enough times to see if it is worth the splurge.

Recommendations:

-Buy the sample size jar first to see if you like the product.

-If you are looking for a product to help with brightness this might not be the best one out there, but it is really good for hydration.
